Case Problems

The Justice Y.K. Sabharwal Moot Court Competition is an attempt to re-invent the standard of moot court competitions, and to raise the bar. We aim to provide competing students a unique and challenging atmosphere so that we may witness new heights of creativity and thought. In furtherance of the same, there shall be two moot propositions. Memorial qualifications, and arguments of the preliminary rounds will be based on the first proposition, while arguments of the semi-finals and finals will be based on the second proposition.

This element has been introduced in order to prevent the advanced rounds from becoming tedious repetitions of already threshed out arguments. We hope that this new format shall keep competing teams on their toes and make the competition more exciting and stimulating for everyone.

Case Problem - I (Updated)

The deadline for the submission of memorials for the first proposition is 21st October, 2019. Based on the same, 12 teams will qualify to participate in the Oral Rounds.

You may find the Rules and the Clarifications to Proposition- I here.

Case Problem - II

The deadline for the submission of the second set of memorials is 20th November. Both the problems have been drafted by Prateek Chadha and Ujwala Upaluri.

You may find the Rules here.
